HOW IT WORKS The water-repellent outer shell repels pool water so the suit stays light. The integrated gusset holds 20ml of heavy flow, the same as 4 tampons or 3 regular pads, no tampon, no pad, no bulk. The longer leg is cut for compression so it stays put through dives, turns and kick sets.
BEST FOR Swimmers who want more coverage, colder or outdoor pools, early-morning club training, and anyone who finds a standard cut rides up. Wear it on your heaviest day or your lightest. Note: check your governing body's rules before senior or elite-level competition.
GOOD TO KNOW Chlorine-resistant recycled nylon (polyamide) with reinforced gusset seams and a dye-locked neon print that doesn't fade. One suit replaces hundreds of disposable tampons. Wash before first wear. Hand washing is best and helps preserve the performance fabric. If you machine wash, use a laundry bag on a gentle cycle, though all machine use shortens its life. Rinse cold straight after the pool, no fabric softener, eco laundry detergents only, never tumble dry, always air dry.

How does a period swimsuit work?
A period swimsuit is two layers of fabric doing two jobs. A water-repellent outer shell stops pool water soaking the suit, while a breathable, leakproof gusset traps period blood underwater. The Lunafly Competition range holds 20ml of heavy flow, equal to 4 tampons or 3 regular pads, no tampon, no pad, no bulk.
What is a legsuit, and why choose one over a racerback?
A legsuit (sometimes called a kneesuit) is a one-piece with longer legs to around the knee. You get the same leakproof period protection as the Racerback, plus more coverage: extra warmth in cold or outdoor pools, less ride-up on dives and turns, and the confidence of fuller coverage. Choose it if you train in cooler water, or you just prefer more leg.
Does the longer leg keep you warmer?
Yes. The extra fabric over the thighs holds a little more warmth, which helps in early-morning sessions, unheated club pools and outdoor swims. It's chlorine-resistant recycled nylon, same as the rest of the range.

Yes, the whole point is you don't need one. The gusset absorbs blood directly, so you can swim, race and train tampon-free. Particularly important for junior swimmers who aren't using tampons yet.

Is the suit chlorine-resistant?
Yes. The outer shell is engineered for regular chlorinated-pool training. The neon colour holds up because the fabric is dye-locked, not surface-printed.
How is the Lunafly Competition Legsuit different from a tech racing suit?
Tech racing suits are FINA-approved kit built for elite, single-meet competition. They offer zero period protection so you would still need a tampon. The Lunafly Competition Legsuit is built for club training and junior competitions, with full compression plus an integrated leakproof gusset and a water-repellent shell.
